in-4, couverture souple agrafée, 8 p.; bel exemplaire. Libretto de la première représentation française de la cantate de guerre Figure Humaine , une de meilleures uvres chorales de Françis Poulenc (1899-1963). Poulenc a composé la cantate en six semaines au cours de l'été 1943, la fit imprimer en secret et aurait pris une grande fierté à en exposer un exemplaire dans sa vitrine alors que les troupes alliées défilaient dans les rues de Paris. Cependant, sa première représentation eut lieu à Londres en janvier 1945, chantée en anglais par le BBC Chorus dirigé par Leslie Woodgate. Il fallait attendre le 2 décembre 1946 pour la première de la création française par le Vlaams Radiokoor sous la direction Paul Collaer. Seller Inventory # 1430
