Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Marbled edges in good condition. Full embossed leather, gilt decoration on spine, decorated end papers, frontispiece engraving, 640 pages, illustrated with numerous engravings including views of various cities. Leather worn and cracked, corners and spine ends bumped with wear, worn along all edges of boards, spine missing pieces at top and bottom & along sides, cracked along sides of spine, front board loose as are front end papers (all still attached), occasional soil from handling in margins, scattered light foxing which sometimes affects engravings, but generally the text block and engravings are free of foxing.
