Buff cloth boards with black titles to spine and front, 200 x 135 mm approx. 176 pp, uncut book block, First Edition 1921. Novel set in WWI. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. Poor/ Poor (Book - no notable shelf wear or soiling to boards, ink gift insc. Sept 1921 to free front end paper, heavy foxing to margins first and last few signatures. Binding sound with no cracks to end papers. Dust Jacket - rubbed and with general shelf soiling. Significant chips to extremities - max 3 cm to tail. Now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve to which pieces of coloured paper have been inserted to mask the stark white of the backing paper so as not to offend the eye on the bookshelf ).
