About this Item
Green cloth. Small quarto. 384pp. Illustrated. Trade catalogue issued by this Chicago company founded in 1868 which designed and manufactured greenhouses, conservatories, solariums and other structures for clients throughout the United States. The catalogue begins with a brief illustrated history of the Moninger factory and then has photographs of its greenhouses in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York, New England, Kentucky and the Western States. Construction details are shown for its iron frame flat rafter houses along with patterns. This is followed by a complete, priced catalogue of its products including sash operating machinery, hot bed sash, pumps and engines for water supply, the Moninger boiler, radiators, pipes, fittings and valves, and much more. A very good, bright copy with some bumping to the lower corner of the front and rear covers and some light wear to the spine tips. The text is very good and clean with minor wear. Two pages have a small piece missing from the lower blank corner. Scarce. Seller Inventory # 11019
