The lengthy introduction by John Buchan is his first appearance in print. 244 pp + adverts (see below) Dark green cloth; gold lettering and decoration; top edge gilt. Amongst the lengthy adverts at the rear is a list of titles in the Scott Library series and it is generally accepted that in the true first impression this list ends at number 89. In this copy the list continues to number 100. The corners and spine ends are lightly rubbed. There are a couple of white streaks on the front. Bright and clean internally.
