A near fine copy in the original portfolio with cloth spine and printed boards. With 11 sheets of plates containing 17 images and a further full page set of drawings in the text. The spine and boards are in near fine clean condition with the original ties (rather creased). The text and plate pages are held in place by waxed cloth flaps - these have become a bit creased around the edges. The contents are complete and very clean: Chapter 1: ix, 12 pp; Chapter 2 pp 13-32; Plates x 11 mostly folded. There is an ink inscription on the front pastedown endpaper.
