About this Item

The book is new but with shelf wear. Shows little sign of ever having been read. No library markings. No owners' marks. All pages are clean and tight. No underlining or highlighting. The front cover shows damage at top where the DJ was worn away allowing a mark, probably water damage. The dust jacket, printed on cheap paper however shows total deterioration along fold as it folds around on front board with the DJ fold inside front board missing. From chapter 10 onwards the author treats animals and hunting illustrated with photos. A journal of the overland journey from Michigan, through Nebraska to the Pacific Ocean in 1852. See our photos.
