W. B. Yeats, his father, brother, and sisters were all involved in its affairs, in one respect or another. Michael B. Yeats states that it is perhaps natural in these circumstances that tensions should arise in a family of such differing personalities and strong wills. He also emphasizes the role his mother played as intermediary between Yeats and his sisters.
