About this Item
Oversize hardcover. Boards show a bit of overall discoloration; binding tight; pages clean but for prior ownership stamp to inside front and rear covers. Lacking the dust jacket, assuming there was one originally. A striking back-to-basics argument published in the midst of the Pop Art boom. 'At the present time our art schools are turning out hundreds of young Picassos, whose productions are out of date before the paint is dry and contain more copying than even the most photographic art. These schools have stressed the fads and ignored the fundamental, which was, is, and always will be the only means of a complete freedom of expression in each individual student. It is for this reason above all else that this manual of freehand drawing is written.' Overlaps somewhat with Reid-Winsey's 'Freehand Drawing Manual,' a spiralbound softcover published the same year. A startlingly uncommon title. 2.3 pounds. 9-1/8 x 12-1/8". 161 pages. Seller Inventory # 7771

Store Description
If I've mischaracterized a book, please let me know, and I'm happy to accept returns for refunds.
Orders usually ship within three business days. I generally pack books in boxes, with padding, and unless they're unusually bulky or heavy -- more than four pounds or so -- I won't ask for additional shipping costs. For domestic media-mail buyers, anyway. Prices for international and even priority shipping can get *insane*.
