About this Item
Original red cloth, lettered in black to the spine. Previous owner signature to the front paste-down completely hidden by the jacket's flap. In a brilliant example of the scarce dust jacket which is price-clipped, else fine. Top edge stained dark red. Anthony Gilbert is the pseudonym of Lucy Beatrice Malleson. As lovely a copy as one could hope to find. An aging and nearly forgotten old film star is given one last opportunity to make it big in an upcoming movie. He takes a train to the new location and the next morning is found dead - murder or suicide? M. Dupuy of the French Suret and Inspector Field of Scotland Yard are assigned to learn the truth.
