First edition, with dustwrapper. Deep red boards with black lettering on the spine. Head and tail of spine lightly bumped and rubbed. Binding is neat and tidy. Page edges are uniformly discoloured, foxed and bear the odd stain, more so at the head edge. Tail edge, deckled. Previous owner's inscription on front pastedown. Free endpapers and pastedowns are well discoloured. With lazy bookseller line: "All these are in print and on sale, whatever a lazy bookseller may say to the contrary". All pages are evenly discoloured due to age, some bear some light foxing yet this book is in fair condition. Dust wrapper has some moderate creasing at edges and back cover. Well discoloured, front and back. Spine and covers softly rubbed. Spine well sunned and showing heavy wear and tear at the head, with large section missing. Edges and corners are showing some heavy wear and tear also. Price clipped. Back cover bears some light scratches and markings. Well thumbed, well loved, yet this dust wrapper is in fair condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound. Seller Inventory # FIC1304
