Miss Pitt was certainly resourceful since the work is a complete fabrication which she managed to sell to two different publishers using different titles. Her mother and sister were not murdered by the Gestapo and far from using her exquisite sexual charm behind enemy lines to lure unsuspecting Nazi Generals, she never actually left England during the War.
