About this Item
Fine; As New. Pristine example. See scans and description. Box-shipped. New York: Condé Nast Publications, 1997. The August, 2000 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, edited by Kate White. Laetitia Casta is the cover model. A very thick, robust Quarto, photo-illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 282 pp. As New and immaculate, cover to cover - to a degree that's extraordinarily hard to find in a periodical from 2000. See scans. Tiny corner tweak, front cover (zoom on scan), without damage. All tipped-in offers and advertiser bonuses remain inside, pristine. They say no magazine is perfect, but get out a magnifying glass to spot imperfections here. Cosmo - which actually its life in1886 - first became a woman's magazine in 1960, and had been a genre flagship ever since. The rich 282 pages of fashion, makeup, style, sex, health, relationship, and entertainment journalism, with very professional photography to match make even the contents pages an engaging read. But as always there are splashy stunner ad shots - by the best photo pros in the business - of supermodels renowned and less renowned, wall-to-wall. That includes an 8-page Revlon fold-out ad with Halle Berry & Lucy Lie, as well as a third - name unknown to me - beauty. Check scans of both contents pages for an idea of the Cosmo formula and details thereon - but some of that is: Cosmo's Biggest Sex Survey, Ever; Girlfriend Goof-ups; Inner Princess; Bedroom Busts; Make Him Ache; Erotic Astrology; Brazilian Bikini Wax - Naked Truth. A collectible, squeaky-new example of a getting-to-be-vintage issue of a topflight genre publication. Very scarce thus. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box - not a bag. LPR25.
