A collection of black and white imagery, including: (34) 11" x 14" approx. size images (a few trimmed smaller) with 4 identified on back: Victoria Falls, Rhodesia, South Africa, a Mine Dump, Johannesburg, S.A. & the Union Bldg. Pretoria S.A. and another identified as of Toledo, Spain (this trimmed to 12 1/2" length) - these 4 with the photographer's name & exhibition notes on back, including the technical information (Rolleiflex) - (also) with 13 images of Alaska - (1) of the U.S. post office log building at Ft. Yukon, (1) of the Kodiak City Dock and (2) of large totem poles, site unidentified - the balance of the Alaska large-format images of glacier lakes, fishing apparatus, stream; the rest of the large format images are (11) ruins & scenery presumably in Central America, unidentified, one cropped smaller and one a blow-up of a scene; (2) copies of a man in a kilt, wearing military decorations; and 4 images of what appear to be European locations & memorials & one of a staged scene of a Caucasian woman dancing in a harem outfit on sand dunes; (with) (72) 8" x 10" images, including (37) Alaska views including one of Mt. McKinley inscribed in 1953 to Hurley by E.A. Lanees.(? indecipherable), smaller versions of the Ft. Yukon P.O. & Kodiak dock, same images as noted above, another noted in the image as Mendenhall Glacier Alaska and another a view of an Alaskan fjord, both with the studio stamp of 'Ordway's photo shop Juneau Alaska' on backs, fjord image with their blindstamp in right bottom corner as well; with an image of a Juneau main thoroughfare, with the studio stamp of 'Lu-Ek's photo shop Juneau Alaska' on back; other Alaskan images of a street and sign promoting "Anchorage Fur Rendezvous All for Fun - Fun for All," a dockside scene of the Alaska Line pier & some of the street life, businesses, hotels; photo of the rear-paddle steamer Klondike and another of the Klondike dry-docked with the stern of the Takhini next to it just visible; large totem pole in field near the Sitka Hotel and the Conway building, shoreline town view of docks, shipping; Russian Orthodox church; glacier photos, scenery, fishing; (2) identified on back as Capetown South Africa and Zulu Natives Zululand S.A. and (2) of the mine dump and the falls, noted in the larger format size above and (2) copies of Hurley & friend standing on hillside, the mine area visible below; (3) of Egypt (one identified on back); the balance a miscellany of European and Central American locations, views, scenery, architecture; (with) about 30 5" x 7" images (some a little larger or smaller) of scenic locations at Yosemite Park, another Ordway's image, this of Auk(e) Lake Alaska, with their stamp; other woodland and mountain imagery and a few views of tropical architecture, other scenes; occasional wear to edges, corners; generally the collection in very good condition.
