Essentially this is a long-range style of boxing that relies heavily on a strong horse stance. It is best known for its joint locking techniques, its backfist, its downward scraping swing, and its knuckle fist. In addition there are many empty hand sets (kata) in this southern style: the Long Range Fist, The Buddhist Fist, Ping, Teen, Gok Fists and others.
