Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt title on a red label, 5 raised gilt bands, top and bottom compartments with scratches to the leather. Joints good condition rubbed and worn. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition half leather blue boards, the rear board has some fading to the colour in places. Page edges good condition top edge slightly darkened, all speckled. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition intact. Paste downs good condition plain brown. End papers good condition plain brown with some offsetting to the corners, subsequent end papers are tanned and foxed. Title good condition tanned and foxed with some offsetting from the frontispiece. Pages good condition illustrated throughout by Hadamard, some plates still have their original tissue guards, lightly tanned throughout with some foxing in places. Binding good condition. See photos.
