1st Edition. Large 8vo (25cm). 360pp. Gift inscription to half-title (dated Sept. 1931) from the Hon. Secretary - John Duncan MacDonald (one of the publishers) - to Donald Claude Macdonald [of Sanda]. Ownership inscription of the recipient to endpaper, and (on the verso) a secondary gift inscription from him to a clan member: 'To my dear friend Hugh Macdonald Dunlop, Macdonald of Sanda (Claude)'. This is inserted on a gummed label with printed arms of Macdonald of Sanda. Binding sound. Some bubbling to cloth, and maginal wear and nicks. Slight browning but otherwise very clean throughout. A good copy, with fine provenance, of this WWI roll. [From the Preface]: 'The Committee entrusted with the production of the Clan ' Roll of Honour,' in presenting their work to the public, feel that they have, at least, done something to preserve the record of the Clan in the Great War.'.
