There are noteworthy full colour advertisements for: "Lion Beer", "Barclays Bank (Dominion, Colonial and Overseas)" - [amusingly known in the Colonies as Diddle 'em, Cheat 'em and Overcharge 'em], Cine-Kodak, Castle Beers, "Gentlemen the Ladies" they all prefer SHELL", "Mobbs Limited (Designers and Manufacturers of Shoes of Quality)", "Nestle Cheese", "There is but one oil - Castrol - the oil that circulates everywhere", "Johnnie Walker" (Head and Shoulders above all others!). The quality and production of this book cannot be underestimated. A book of its time, between the Wars, when Britain still had a flourishing empire and very much a snapshot of that period. Perhaps the reason why it appears to be so inexplicably uncommon is the presence of the numerous coloured illustrations therein which lend themselves to being removed and framed. Highly recommended. Rare. Photographs/scans available upon request. Seller Inventory # 355490722822
