FIRST EDITION hardcover, sewn-bound in brown cloth, with faded gilt lettering on front cover and spine, is in GOOD+ condition, having very light rubbing to front cover; top and bottom spine slightly worn; corners slightly worn; old price slip from Vroman's bookstore in Pasadena, attached to first free endpaper with partial Vroman's sticker (top part of sticker at top of page); slight stressing to binding between reverse of free endpaper and half-title page. Two opposing acid-shadows on the acknowledgement page and the facing blank page (probably caused by some small newsprint cutting that had been placed there many years ago).
