Book has light edge, corner and surface wear. It is ex-lib but has been carefully cleaned so that only traces of the original library marks are visible except for a number in ink at the bottom of the title page and bibliographic information in ink on the rear free endpaper along with scuffing where the card pocket was located. Book is square and binding is secure. ; B&W Photographs; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 232 pages; Holtzclaw was an African-American educator associated with the Utica Institute, a Mississippi school for young black men and women.
