Folio. Unpaginated. Loose leaves and plates, as issued. Uncut. Original printed paper covered portfolio with four linen ties intact. Red and black lettering on covers and spine. Title-page in red and black lettering. Fascinating work on French furniture from the Middle-Ages to the 1920s. This study is divided in 8 parts, each containing an explicative text with 10 captioned plates. The 80 photographic plates in photogravure illustrate a range of various furniture styles. Some age wear on portfolio with joints split but boards holding firmly, and corners rubbed. Covers and spine soiled and age-toned. Very minor age-toning throughout. Text in French.
