undated c1910, Original Card hardback binding in good condition, minor rubbing, dirt. Contents Good, clean & tight, would be very good, but most pages detached together from rusted hinges. Endpage with interesting local adverts. Then 12 single sided pages each with a lovely colour autochrome illustration/view. No folds, insctriptions etc. Includes an illustration of Crown Square showing a tram about to depart and the old shops that used to be on the Hall Leys, 2 of Matlock Bank, both showing lovely green fields where houses now stand. Advertisers include Asbury, Barnard, Barnwell, Hartley, Marsden, Phillips, Potter, Pride and Statham. Discovered by the brothers Auguste & Louis Lumiere of Lyons in France, Autochrome was the first generally available process for colour photography. 20 x 25cm Approx. Seller Inventory # 001647
