First edition of this classic work on the African elephant, from a hunter's point of view, mostly about collecting ivory and various measurements and weights. Many big game hunters in old Africa has amassed a fortune by collecting and selling the ivory at the cost of a few shillings for the bullets. Denis Lyell was one of them, Selous and Bell were his friends.
