One 17 x 11" sheet printed offset, recto only. This is the striking poster for a series of June 1976 Art Ensemble of Chicago performances presented in Los Angeles by the Rhino Records store and The Century City Educational Arts Project. The concerts marked the first time the AACM stalwarts had brought their Great Black Music to the city, playing two completely different sets each of four evenings at the former ballroom that served as David Hammons' studio. A most handsome, guaranteed vintage example of the larger format version of this uncommon ephemeral item (featuring lettering by noted percussionist Alex Cline) of which only one hundred were printed. We know this because I personally produced these concerts and the posters!
