Mild surface abrasion lines to the inside of the front and rear covers, slight age-toning to the end-papers, some very faint droplets to the upper and lower outer page edges, else very good plus to near fine in deep-green linen with bright gilt-stamped 'missing link' man illustration to the front cover and with gilt stamped titles and rules to the spine, a large portion of the pages throughout have never been opened and are still un-cut; no dust jacket. Illustrated with eighty detailed figures and drawings. A classic, very detailed study by the anthropologist on the physicality of the evolution hominid with numerous sections including those on bones and skeletons, brain development, respiratory system, muscles, poise, adaptations, and reproduction.
