Published in 1856 this is an original part issue of Eyton?s ?Antiquities of Shropshire? in its original card printed covers, this issue is Vol IV, Part II, running to 95 pages, plus two engraved plates, and two maps, and contains the author?s accounts of the history and antiquities of Gretton, Brockton, Lutwyche, Easthope, Acton Round, Beckbury, Stottesdon, Harcott, Hopton Wafers, Ingwadine, also parts of Rushbury and Wilderhope, running to 95 pages in total, covers are dusty with some creasing, and splits along spine edge, internally the maps and a couple of the pages are loose from the binding, the maps and plates are darkened and worn at plain edges, some marking and a few creases within, a number of pages remain unopened along to edge, this can be resolved with careful use of a knife, (see pictures) else in good general condition.
