A charming pre WWII children's nursery book by an American writer of children's books and who based Angus on her own Scottie Dog. Very Good/ Very Good (Book- no notable shelf wear or soiling to boards, Bottom edges of a couple of leaves roughly opened where not guillotined in course of book production. Mild sporadic foxing mostly to prelims and rear blank. Dust Jacket- foxing showing through from reverse, 25 mm tear to rear panel and a couple of child scribbles in ink to front panel. Hardcover. Condition: Good. This is two books bound together in one binding, as originally issued. Quite a bit of shelf wear to the spine edges and corners. The corners are bumped and rubbed through. There are a few chips to the cloth at the edges of the spine. The pages are tightly bound. A a few pages have small fingerprint smudges at the edges, not obtrusive. This is a scarce title.
