About this Item
One 2 ¼ x 6 ¾" sheet printed in monochrome ink, recto and verso. In 1971, Billy Kluver's innovative Experiments in Art and Technology held a casino-themed fund-raising event for which ten contemporary artists were commissioned to produce faux currency. For the evening, Andy Warhol created this one dollar bill utilizing his "This Photograph May Not Be - - Etc" rubber stamp motif which was printed by the American Banknote Company on paper identical to that used for US currency. A brand new, pristine example of this charming, ephemeral artist's multiple displayed between two 3 x 8 x 5/8" archival clear acrylic blocks held together by magnetized clasps. PLEASE NOTE: Additional shipping costs are required for this item beyond our standard rates due to its weight - we will inform you of the applicable amount at time of purchase.
