Published in 1863, this is the scarce First Edition of this work on Cas Troggy Castle, Llanvair Castle, & Wentwood in Monmouthshire, Wales, a 10.5 inch tall paperback, with 49 pages of text followed by seven full page lithograph illustrations and plans. Covers are marked, darkened with corner and edge wear, internally noticeable page corner creasing and curling, occasional marks, a previous owner has written an inscription on the top of the front cover, and has added occasional side lining and under lining in pen and pencil, nothing too detrimental, else an acceptable example of this scarce work in first edition form.
