(Victoria, BC – 24 January 2007) Secondhand copies of a long forgotten memoir by Celebrity Big Brother contestant Dirk Benedict are suddenly in demand.

Originally published in 1987, his little-known book, Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy, has shot from nowhere to No. 3 on last week’s bestseller list at – an online marketplace that specializes in secondhand, rare and out-of-print books.

In the book, the former A-Team and Battlestar Galactica actor claims he overcame cancer without surgery through a macrobiotic diet, exercise and fasting. Benedict was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1974 and doctors recommended surgery.

Benedict, who stared as Templeton 'The Faceman' Peck in The A-Team and as Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica, penned the book during his 1980s heyday when he was one of the most recognizable actors on television.

Many copies of Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy are being offered for sale by secondhand bookshops in the USA but they can be found easily on which has a global database of used and rare books.
