A very scarce publication, primarily detailing the trials of three Fenian Army members captured during the bloody skirmish at Fort Erie in 1866. The three men were David F. Lumsden, "who claims to be an Episcopalian clergyman," John McMahon, "a Roman Catholic priest," and Robert Blosse Lynch, "said to be a colonel in the 'Fenian Army'." Lumsden was acquitted, but McMahon and Lynch were sentenced to death by hanging. About 175 pages are given to the trails of those three, with an additional 17 pages covering the trials of about another 25 men. 222 pages (including Judgments of the Superior Courts). Moderate wear to thin wraps at edges/corners/spine ends, light cover soil, internally tight. Difficult to find in any condition. (C/IT) Size: Small Octavo -- from 7.75" to 9.75" Tall.
