The lives of painters and authors from Bologna. This is part three, starting with Francesco Primaticcio and covering a total of 36 figures. Some familiar names are the Tibaldi, Passarotti, and Trocaccini families. It appears that the section on Primaticcio, which has its own separated title page and frontis, was published in 1838 as the beginning of Part Three (so named in the contents), and the full volume then was published in 1843 as a complete entity. Part Two is mentioned by the author in his prefatory comments and was published separately. VG but for very faint foxing on one or two pages.
