Moderate occasional scuffing to overall clean and sharp cloth with touches of surface loss at tips of lightly toed-in corners and extreme spine ends. About this Item: Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1943. Cloth. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. First Edition. This contains 358 indexed pages of letters written by Thomas Wolfe to his mother, Julia Elizabeth Wolfe, plus an end note written by her telling that he became desperately ill while on a trip to Seattle and that was the last note she received from him. There is also an introduction written by John Skally Terry, who knew both Tom and his mother. The condition of the book is fine with no marks, tears or signatures. The end pages contain a facsimile from a manuscript letter by Thomas Wolfe. The black cloth cover is stamped in gold on the front and spine. The spine is somewhat faded, however. There is only minor shelf wear to the cover. The corners are sharp and the binding is tight. Seller Inventory # 000624
