Blue cloth binding, gilt lettering against a red background, 489 pages, illustrated frontispiece, map end papers, the book is in fair to good (average or a little below average) condition with some moderate shelf wear/ rubbing and light staining to the cloth edges and at the spine. There is also the name of a previous owner written in black ink to the top of the front free end paper. The dust jacket is fair with some general chipping to the edges and to the spine culminating in 4 or 5 small tears, plus a small area of loss at the base of the spine. A scarce book offered at a sensible price.
