AUTHOR : Michael Fairless (Pseudonym of Margaret Fairless Barber, 1869 - 1901) Margaret Barber, a Christian writer, was something of a mystic, and a lover of nature and all things natural, which give her works a special cadence, lifting them above the common everyday essay. Her inspirational book, "The Roadmender", was an immense success and very popular. She was also the author of a mystic romance titled "The Gathering of Brother Hilarius" IMPRINT : E. P. Dutton & Co. BINDING : The book's text-block, having been read more than once, is not as tight as when issued, the leaves opening widely and the whole being slightly shaken; however no leaves are detached or loose, the whole remaining fairly solid.
