Written by a product of the Kentucky Hills, this story is told by Sid about his Hill Country family who have the problem of not working and getting the relief money or working in poverty. The death of his uncle in WWII and the survivor's money brings out all the freeloaders to the new rental house. This dream is short lived and poverty soon returns. The twist is that Private Tussie does return (mistaken burial) and Sid finds out that his aunt is really his mother - thus Sid has a father and a mother and the father is a changed man from the war and is now industrious and works for wages setting a proper example for Sid. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
