    Hardback, cloth. Condition: Poor. Selected Thoughts of Blaise Pascal, translated and edited by Gertrud Burford Rawlings Hardback, undated but circa 1905, published by The Walter Scott Publishing Co., Ltd., London, 234 pages + xxiv and 18-page publisher catalogue at rear. Measures around 6 7/8" by 4 7/8" by 7/8". Orange-brown cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. Discolouration to spine, some to boards. Scuffing and marking, some signs of shelf-wear, tearing at spine edges, bumped corners, denting to boards. Binding reasonably firm, some slackness, cracking near rear inner hinge. Page edges browned, scuffed and a little marked. Prizegiving bookplate from 1909 to front pastedown, various marginalia throughout in both pen and pencil.
