First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Seventh impression of the first edition. Edward Morgan's copy, with his ownership signature inked to the tip of the front free endpaper, the rear pastedown covered with his pencilled notes, and with his occasional pencilled marginal highlights and one note. 8vo. 547pp. Black boards lettered in yellow at the spine. A single small area of spoiling to the upper board, and a small area of staining to the rear pastedown. A very good copy, lacking the dust wrapper. It would appear that Morgan was utilising this copy for the basis of a review, lecture or critical essay, but I can find no record of a resulting work having been published.
