Early 20th century plans for a one world government? "The price moreover for which the Maoris exchanged their land was not for the most part wealth, but weapons for their mutual destruction." - page 246. "We must not, therefore, allow the squalid details of an agitation in the Transvaal or of riots in Vancouver or Ballarat to mask the true significance of issues which at root are the same as those tried at Marathon, in the Mithradatic and Parthian wars of Rome, and in the struggles of the Crescent with the Cross which precipitated the downfall of the Roman Empire, and whose after consequences are present to-day in Northern Africa and the Balkan Peninsula." - page 110.
