Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges. Staining to spine.

Boards are notably bowed. Book has a prominent forward lean. Moderate water marks to boards and spine.

First UK Edition, first printing (first impression) 291 pp. 'First Published in March 1924' and no reprint statement to the copyright page therefore indicating a first printing. A Collection Of Stories including at least one tale of the macabre, Very Good, tight binding with some fade to boards, clean pages with creasing to the top corners of pages. Small name to front end page.The scarce jacket is present and complete, not price clipped, it has a closed tear to the rear panel and rubbing to the extremities. A very decent example of the scarce original jacket. Laid in loosely are two letters signed by Rolf Bennett, the book itself is not signed. Signed by Author(s).
