Softcover. Condition: Good. First edition. Stitched stiff paper boards. [2], 106pp., with a folded plate at the back: "Apparatus for Making Extracts, Patented Nov. 3, 1874." Soiling to the title page, partially torn at the gutter, else very good. A report to the president and directors of the Julius Robert Diffusion Process Company. Laid-in is an early photographic reproduction of an 1873 engraved illustration: "Set of Four Centrifugals, H.W.& R. Lafferty, Gloucester N.J.," a New Jersey company that manufactured Centrifugal sugar draining machines for the food and beverage industry. Scarce. *OCLC* locates eight copies.
