Condition: Very good. S. Clay Wilson (illustrator). First printing. Original 17" X 11" poster, with S. Clay Wilson color illustration of cowboy and poet fighting over a bottle of 'Old River City Rot Gut'. The poster promotes the "River City Reunion" literary festival in Lawrence, Kansas, September 7 - 13, 1987, and announces headliners William Burroughs, Stan Brakhage, Jim Carroll, Andrei Codrescu, Robert Creeley, Diane DiPrima, Ed Dorn, Maryianne Faithful, Allen Ginsberg, John Giorno, Husker Du, Timothy Leary, Michael McClure, Ed Sanders, and Anne Waldman. Original single sided poster has slight edge wear, but no pin marks or other flaws. OFFERED TOGETHER with a 'River City Reunion Schedule of Events', a large single sheet (17" X 22.5") folded in quarters, with a b/w reproduction of the S. Clay Wilson cowboy/writer image on cover, the schedule of events on two interior pages, and the Lawrence mayor's Proclamation of "River City Reunion Week" on the back page. The verso has a map of 'River City circa 1969' surrounded by ads for local business sponsors of the event.
