Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. First Edition. Book in near fine condition . Front and back cover tips slightly bumped. Text is clean, tight and bright. 24 pp. Darling and very rare tale in rhyme of an elderly Scotsman who had a pear tree in his yard and would share the fruit with all his neighbors. When he died, he asked to be buried with one of his delicious pears, knowing that his heir was greedy and wouldn't let anybody near the tree after he was gone. Three years after his death, a pear tree shoot sprang up from his grave and grew into a fine large fruit tree that holds the loving spirit of McRibbeck and continues to drop fruit for all who pass by.
