First Edition
First Edition. First Edition. An advance review copy, issued with a different jacket than the trade edition, featuring lavish praise from the publisher on the front and rear panels, including an excerpted blurb by Alfred Kazin. Basis for the Academy award nominated 2008 film, directed by Sam Mendes and reuniting Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet for the first time since "Titanic." Near Fine in a Very Good dust jacket. Very light foxing to the top page edges; jacket has light chipping to the extremities and a few short closed tears, none of which affect the jacket text. Rear flap fold shows some creasing, and the spine panel is a bit toned, with the title and author's name written neatly in ink on the spine, likely by the publisher or the publicist. A very presentable copy.
