Some light marks on the front panel at the top, light surface creasing and a production wrinkle at the bottom of the spine but otherwise the covers are Very Good indeed. The pages are clean and unmarked with some browning on the edges. The front cover was glued to the first page but this thin strip has been pulled back - binding still tight however. First printing. Previously published by Dell in the USA in 1955 - same cover illustration. This edition is quite rare. Paperback original. Postage will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.

Clay Hollister (Philip Carey) escapes prison with 2 accomplices, Red (Robert J. Wilke) and Johnny (William Leslie), to return to the town of Warbow, where his brother Frank (James Griffith) stashed $30,000 from a stagecoach robbery 11 years before. Set in the fictional town of Warbow, shot on location in Simi Valley and Chatsworth, California. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine, 2 with creasing in margin, 1 uniformly faded, 1 with 2 pinholes. Pitts 3397.
