Repairs made to the front endpapers and the spine of the dust jacket. See photos. Very few smudges among the text. Overall it is a charming book for it's age. Two youngsters have an exciting trek on Mars away from their parents. Real Martians appear and become water friends with the boys; things heat up and the action begins. The Red Planet was made into TV miniseries in 1997 with Mark Hamill and Roddy MacDowall.
