Inscribed and signed in blue ink to front free endpaper recto. Milne's only mystery novel and a Haycraft Queen Cornerstone of mystery fiction. A copy signed and inscribed by the author as "Blue," the family's nickname for A. A. Milne, to his future daughter-in-law on her birthday.
