Condition: good. (Old Magazines, Early 20th Century Periodicals, Americana, Current Events, Ephemera, Vintage Advertising, Collier's, New Orleans, Mormon church, New York city underground transit pics, Old Man, Study, Romance Novel, Short Stories). Collier's. Published January2nd, 1904, Springfield, Ohio by P. F. Collier & Sons Company.82 pages. Text in English. Color lithographed cover. Illustrated throughout. Nice assortment of dated advertising as well, often illustrated. Nice early 20th century American magazine with pleasing visual content. Great reading cover, with a famous Charles Dana Gibson illustration the focal point of the image. Books, an open magazine, a stamped letter and lamp along with a mantle clock, framed pics and a small statue all create a splendid image worthy of display. Signed in the plate "J. S."Binding remains clean, tight, and sound, various mostly small signs of age, time and handling, nothing offensive or major. Overall a nice looking example. Small age flaws or defects include possible random old creasing, edge chipping, small light old staining, etc. Overall entirely acceptable example of what is likely a scarce survival. The pictures give a very good sense of how the item survives. Virtually all periodicals of this era are somewhat scarce today as loose complete issues. Like most random survivals of old periodical printing, any specific example (like this one) is likely among a relative handful still extant. As each decade goes back from 1950, the rate of scarcity for any specific magazine or paper item increases noticeably. Text block remains overall clean, and displays a pleasing age patina. Magazine remains attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this antique item survives. This item is not new- it is old and has been handled by different owners in the past. Magazine Measures c. 14" H x 10 3/4" W.[B11391].
