Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Second Impression. 253 pages, 12mo. No DJ. No publishing date, stated Second Impression. From the library of respected 33rd Degree California Freemason Orval C. Graves. Light pink cloth boards with black lettering along spine. Shelfwear: scuffing along edges and cover boards, Orval's bookplate adhered to inside front cover, many notes written by Orval in pencil throughout volume. Tightly bound. Volume is in Very Good-minus condition. An envelope is found within the book, dated July 19, 10:30pm, 1955. It was sent from Ontario, Canada to Redwood City, California, and written by one avid occultist, a Mr. William Broderick, to another avid Occultist and 33rd Degree Freemason, Orval C. Graves. The letter advises Mr. Graves on the proper techniques of astral projection, and recounts some of the successful projected experiences of Mr. Broderick. Here is a short excerpt: "A baby is generally very psychic. I can remember back to the time I was two and three years old and the experience I had then -- I had a trick of being able to relax myself and attune with the Cosmic -- I would see beautiful lights and forms floating through the air -- and this beautiful psychic world was as familiar to me as the physical world, and it was truly a world of love and beauty ." The letter goes on to say that Mr. Broderick believes Mr. Graves is sincere in his inquiry regarding membership to the Rosicrucian Order AMORC, the only authentic mystical society represented in America. Mr. Broderick gives his permission for Graves to use his name as a recommendation for membership, and provides Graves with his own AMORC membership number. So it appears this letter may have been the origin of Orval's memberhsip with AMORC.
