No place, no date, circa 1900, sized about 8 x 10.5 inches, engraved by Sartain after a photo by Gutekunst, with facsimile signature, very sharp, clean, and bright, on heavy plate paper. The subject, born September 19, 1824, at Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, was the eldest son of…John and Elizabeth Poole Sellers. He married Mary Ferris in 1849, and together they had Katherine M., b. 1852, and William Ferris, b. 1856, and Francis Ferris, b. 1858, d. 1859. He secondly married Ameila Haaxz in 1873, and they had the following children: Alexander, b. 1875, Richard, b. 1881, and Christine, b. 1882, d. 1884. William died January 24, 1905, and was buried at the Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery, Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware.
